Doctor en Ingeniería Eléctrica (2014. Reconocimiento Summa Cum Laude) con especialidad en Procesamiento Digital de Imágenes en la División de Ingenierías Campus Irapuato-Salamanca de la Universidad de Guanajuato. Maestro en Ciencias en Ciencias de la Computación (2009) con especialidad en Inteligencia Artificial en el Instituto Tecnológico de León y obtuvo la Licenciatura en Sistemas Computacionales (2007) con especialidad en Desarrollo de Software en el Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Irapuato. Sus principales áreas de investigación son el desarrollo de algoritmos de Computación Evolutiva, Procesamiento de Imágenes y Señales Biomédicas y Visión por Computadora.
