Dr. Miguel Angel Uh Zapata

Information

My academic interests are mathematical modeling with partial differential equations, numerical analysis, and computational mathematics. My research is focused on developing numerical tools used in computational fluid dynamics with applications to multiphase flows. I graduated in May 2012 with a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University (SMU). I worked for two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Saint-Venant Hydraulics Laboratory of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech in France. Since 2014 I have been a permanent faculty member of the Center for Mathematical Research of Mexico (CIMAT), sponsored by the National Council of Science and Technology, abbreviated CONACYT.
