Call for two tenure track positions in the Mathematics Department of CIMAT
The Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) welcomes applications from researchers in Mathematics with a strong or promising track record for two tenure-track positions in Pure or Applied Mathematics to start in August 2023 (later dates can be considered). The applicants must hold a PhD in Mathematics and show a strong potential for excellence in research and teaching.
Preference will be given to applicants with research interests close to the topics developed at CIMAT, including emerging topics. The duties of the positions include, but are not limited to, carrying out research, teaching one Mathematics course per semester, and participating in research seminars and conferences, as well as CIMAT’s other educational activities.
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- They should have a strong research and teaching record in accordance with the time since graduation.
- They should have teaching experience in basic as well as advanced courses related to the applicant’s field of expertise at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) is affiliated to the Mexican Science and Technology Council (CONACYT). The Mathematics Department of CIMAT(https://www.cimat.mx/investigacion/matematicas-basicas/) has more than 60 full-time members and is one of the most active and prestigious departments in Latin America.
CIMAT maintains fruitful collaborations with prestigious institutions around the world, offers degrees in Mathematical Sciences at all levels, and also interacts with industry and government.
