The Calculus Workshop has been organized every summer for the last 15 years by CIMAT and is desgined for undergraduate students who have recently took a rigorous one real variable calculus course, covering, for example, Spivak's Calculus textbook. For Mexican students this usually occurs at the end of their 2nd or 3rd semester of undergraduate studies. The 2023 edition of the workshop, organized jointly by CIMAT, Penn State Univ and Ohio State Univ, will accept US students and will be conducted in a bilingual format (Spanish speaking is not needed).

The main part of the workshop consists of the participants solving challenging mathematical analysis problems in one real variable. Consult the program and additional information for more information on the workshop's dynamics.

Another part consists of a mini-course Calculus without calculations, given by Mark Levi from Penn State Univ, USA.

The workshop is free of charge for accepted participants and includes accomodations and full board from Sunday July 2, 5pm, to Saturday July 8, 11am, 2023, in CIMATEL (CIMAT's guest house, about a 10 minutes safe walk to CIMAT).

Transportation to and from the workshop is to be covered by the participants.

Interested students should send an application by March 26, 2023. The main part of the application consists of sending solutions to several problems (much easier then the Workshop problems). The number of participants is limited so we highly recommend to fill up the application carefully.
