CIMAT carries out both theoretical and applied research in Probability and Statistics, including the fundamentals of stochastic processes, various approaches to the statistical inference and the relationship of our discipline to CIMAT’s other academic areas of mathematics and computer sciences. Its applied research includes modeling and methodologies in cutting-edge areas where statistics and probability are essential.
