  • March: Outreach talk How do multiplication tables look? Curiosities and secrets of algebra and geometry. CIMAT-Mérida and Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Yucatán (PCTY). Visit from students of Escuela Primaria Ateneo de Progreso.

  • 12 February: Workshop “Codes, clues and numbers” — International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Escuela Primaria Lázaro Cárdenas del Río, Sierra Papacal, Mérida (organized by CIMAT Mérida).

2019

  • Aug: STEAM Summer Course 2019. Hacienda Dzoyaxché, Cuxtal ecological reserve, Mérida. MateMayab, Cuxtal reserve and U.S. Consulate in Mérida. Workshop leader: recreational mathematics.
  • Aug: PCTY summer course. Talk Abracadabra: the magic of mathematics. Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Yucatán.

Mathemagic and p-adic magic cards

Outreach through mathemagic, the p-adic magic cards project, and related workshops (content in development). The p-adic magic cards are a playful tool combining card games with p-adic structures to bring non-Archimedean mathematics to a general audience.
