CIMAT Numerical Methods and Optimization Group CNumOG
The areas of interest of the Numerical Methods and Optimization Group at CIMAT are: Numerical methods for solving differential equations, evolutionary computation, estimation of distribution algorithms, multiobjective optimization, parallel and distributed computing, numerical methods, and industrial solutions mainly related (but no delimited by) with numerical optimization and numerical methods in engineering.
The Centre for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) A.C. is located in Guanajuato, Gto. Mexico.
Objectives
The Objectives of CNuMOG are the following:
- State of the art research in the areas of interest of the group.
- Cutting edge software projects about numerical optimization, engineering simulations as well as technology transfer
- Teaching and training in topics related with the group interest areas.
- Colaboration with other researchers in any of the activities of the group.
- Publishing material about the interest areas of the group which include: original research articles, reviews, tutorials and teaching material, etc.

- Topology Optimization of mechanical structures.
- Application of bioinspired algorithms, numerical methods and parallel computation for solving industrial and real world problems.
