Doctorate
The objective of the Doctoral programs is to provide students with solid foundations on which a strong specialization is based. Doctoral programs facilitate and promote students to develop their own thinking skills and professionalization in their mathematical areas.
Our students receive orientation and training to choose their area of specialization and to understand its cutting-edge lines and problems, along with support for their original research processes that enrich the chosen fields.
In addition to serving as high-level professionals in formulating mathematical solutions to a wide variety of problems in basic and applied science, doctoral students gain experience in academic environments for teaching and own research and in multidisciplinary teams.
This experience extends to collaboration with the public and private sectors, as well as training for senior management positions that require the highest levels of preparation.
The Doctorate in Science programs are research-oriented and offer four specialty areas, all of them registered in the CONAHCYT National Postgraduate System. CIMAT has four doctoral level programs, which are:
· Doctorate in Sciences with Orientation in Basic Mathematics
· Doctorate in Sciences with Orientation in Applied Mathematics
· Doctorate in Sciences with Orientation in Probability and Statistics
· Doctorate in Sciences with Orientation in Computer Science
