CIMAT is organized into four main areas of research:

Pure Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics

Basic Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. The four research areas maintain collaborative relationships with researchers and counterpart departments in national and international institutions, which favors, among other things, the generation of scientific knowledge and its publication in co-authorships, the presence of renowned researchers in visits and academic stays at CIMAT and the organization of academic events with international participation.
